What is the Spotted feature?

Spotted is a unique feature that allows you to find and connect with people you encounter daily.

How to activate the Spotted feature:

1. Open your profile on dua.com.
2. Tap the Spotted tab (the icon in the middle at the bottom of the screen).
3. Select "Find people you spotted."
4. Tap "Always allow." (We need your location even when the app is closed to show you everyone you’ve encountered).
5. Go to "Permissions" > "Location" and select "Allow all the time."

Private Spot

If there’s a place where you don’t want to cross paths with others, you can set up a Private Spot:

1. Tap "Set it" and follow the steps.
2. To change your Private Spot, pick a new area on the map or tap the three dots in the top-right corner.
3. To turn it off, tap the three dots again.

Important Notes:

1.  Location Privacy: Your exact location is not shown—only the neighbourhood where you crossed paths.
2. Time of Encounter: The app will show when you crossed paths (e.g., "today," "this week," or "this month").

Using the Spotted Feature

Once you cross paths with someone, you’ll get a notification. Expand the map to see everyone you’ve encountered. From there, you can:

• Like them
• Send an InstaChat
• Dislike them
• Likes are saved in the "Liked You" section.
• InstaChats appear in the "InstaChats" tab.
• InstaChat requests expire after 72 hours if the recipient doesn’t reply. If they don’t respond, the message becomes a Like.
